If you believe the government is the only one responsible for combating Gender-Based Violence in our community, you are not alone; I used to believe the same thing for a while but not longer. The fight against GBV is not a one-way traffic; it is a community-wide effort.
With that said, Kings FM has chosen not to settle for less and has chosen to join forces with other tribes and position itself as the savior of the southern highlands through our TUZUNGUMZE UKATILI radio program.
The program debuted in early March 2023, hosted by our very own Sophia Issa, who used the microphone to speak out against sodomizing and raping children and women, which has been widely reported in our region.
Tuzungumze Ukatili has thus found itself in an exceptionally good position with a new partnership, where we are now working together with the Legal and Human Rights Center (LHRC), Tanzania’s leading organization in the fight against all forms of human rights violation.
“In the first three months of Tuzungumze Ukatili, more than seven harassment and discrimination cases were reported to police stations and admitted to court. More than ten women from the Njombe and Iringa regions received family support and were successful in relocating the House Maid to the Manyara region after being harassed for a long time while working in the Njombe region.”
We are very humble and proud that through this program, we have expanded our network and collaborated with the Njombe Regional Police Commissioner’s office, the Regional Gender and Children Desk, social workers, LHRC, local government leaders, religious leaders, and traditional, cultural, and social leaders.
Join us every Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Tuzungumze Ukatili or be part of our team/partners today.

KINGS FM Yes, Over the years now we have been a frontline in advocate for different health-related awareness campaign programs, Today at each Wednesday from 05:00 PM – 06:00 PM (Since June 2022) our production team joins forces with our development partners PEPFAR through NACP in cooperation with USAID Southern Highland, DELLOITE, MDH Tanzania, and T MARC-TANZANIA to give a life TUSEMEZANE radio program.
Unlike the other media house radio programs, TUSEMEZANE is not just an ordinary radio program is more than that is a combination of education, health findings, and guidance in a storytelling manner against communicable and non–communicable diseases, such as heart disease, cancer, chronic respiratory disease, and diabetes, Since these diseases are the leading cause of death in our community area and worldwide at large.
For us (Kings FM) this program is just the beginning, we believe through this program in collaboration with our development partners one day we can end TB in our community, For the case of HIV/AIDS Njombe has been listed among the top area of people with HIV/AIDS is time to change the narrative.
Through this program, more than 20 people living with HIV have to reveal their status and take one step further to start educating and encouraging their fellow people to take action to know their health conditions.
We expect, TUSEMEZANE to be the leading health radio program in our region of Southern Highlands in cooperation with health stakeholders, health private, and governmental organizations as well as the Regional Medical Officer, AIDS Regional Health Coordinator, Tuberculosis District Health Coordination, Regional Nutrition’s Office and Regional Vaccine Coordinator
